how to waste a days holiday and a tank of diesel
1) apply for tickets to see Not Going Out being filmed at Teddington studios
2) leave at 12 drive to London
3) 1600 join admission queue in the cold - doors open 1830
4) 1730 be told you are on standby and issued with tickets 37 and 38
5) 1830 told only tickets 1-35 getting in !
6) then 11 miles in 2hours
7) arrive home 12pm
thoroughly enjoyed the day !! :censor :censor :censor

although 9 hours and 150miles in traffic in the cali - dsg superb as always

My wife and daughter were down there last mon to see Miranda my daughters friend who is 16
Caught a coach from Cardiff to london at 6.oclock mon morning and started queuing at 10.0clock
My wife and daughter caught the train to London and started queuing with their friend at 4.30
The got in the front row. They stayed in a hotel overnight the friend caught the coach back to Cardiff arriving 5.00 o'clock tue morning. Mad or what :doh :doh :doh as they were free tickets
No guarantee of getting in

Not quite in the same league but I had to go to the office last week. Up at 5, on the road for just before 6 and all the way to Guildford (50 miles) before I realised I'd left my laptop in the kitchen.

100 miles and 1.5 hours later I was back at home no further forward.

Just to rub salt in, had I made it to the office the first time I had enough diesel to get there. My little excursion meant stopping for diesel on the A3 en route.
