Whether you’re for it or against it, there’s no doubt that HS2 has some amazing engineering. The viaduct at Wendover was launched across the A413 and the Chiltern Line railway over the last 4 days. The structure is 345 metres long, 14 metres wide and weighs 4,500 tonnes and was pushed in one piece by two massively powerful hydraulic rams. Amazing to witness.
