I’ve been asked to introduce myself… I live in Hungary and I have a T5 Multivan with the 180bhp biturbo engine. High oil consumption is my problem…

My oil consumption has reached .75 liters / 1,000km. I’ve recently replaced the EGR cooler with a Suffix D unit (it was a C). I’m concerned my engine is already damaged. I’ve read every post in the thread on this topic, and am going to seek VW service advice. Am thinking to buy a new engine and to replace the seals and bearings of both turbos. All advice welcome!

Really sorry to hear your plight. I think you know the answer. When it gets to that stage the damage is already done.
You could get your oil tested to see how much contamination you have. What is the manufacture year?
