In our quest to temper the Teutonic look, we like this kind of rug;

It’s cotton and we just chuck it in the wash as necessary. We’re not bothered about it not being fitted and we don’t mind having to move it to get in the under seat drawer ( although the thinner the better in that respect).

We would however love one of a size that better filled the space.

Just wondered if anyone else has gone down this route and found such a rug?

Thanks in anticipation!

Ian

Wondering the same Ian! Did you come across anything?

We have something very similar in size that, we are reliably told, are Muslim prayer mats (don’t ask).
Two fit the space nicely, the quality is extraordinary and they clean easily. That said, I hate having to move them to pull the bed out.

We use one which looks similar. About £2 in ikea

We’ve just splashed out on a new rug (£93 including postage ). We’re very pleased! It came made to measure from Solva Mills in Pembrokeshire http://www.solvawoollenmill.co.uk/
It’s from their Classic Tapestry range, which is 92cm wide and you can buy it by the metre. We got 1 metre. It’s woven from wool and is machine washable.
We’ve only just got it so of course we’ll have to see how it fares over time, but it looks and feels high quality and the colours are lovely! It’s a tad too thick to open the drawer over it but we can live with that.
