integrating wireless charger to Discovery pro head

I saw on here a few months ago a fitting instruction on how to integrate the wireless charger with the head unit - I many having to dismantle the dash to get the sub upgrade fitted and thought I would do the install at the same time but I can't find the post

Also does anyone know which wires got where - I have it working just on an off with the ignition bit the think there is an integrated feed for the head

Ooh.....didn't think that was available for RHD models

I went to the dealers and got the plastic surround I think there is two bits which as you can see you transfer all the bits from the old to the new and the charger is a standard one across the VW range mine is from a Seat ( all the part numbers are the same)

That looks like a different charger to the VW one I have but did think about piggy backing the power from the lighter socket

Hope you have got a VW wire repair kit as crimping connectors to fit 4B0971978B housing is a PITA

Does the black collar come away from the socket to install in two pieces? …..and if so how do you separate them?
