iPad TV hack for downstairs bed

The coolest thing happened last night. We were trying out the downstairs bed together for the first time. And were super comfortable. But one small issue. Where to put my iPad mini so we could watch a bit of Netflix in bed.

Ha haaa! Hack discovered. My iPad is in a foldable cover. We released the cupboard above us and tucked in one half of the cover under a wash bag, leaving the other half with the screen to dangle down. It was the perfect angle for us both lying on our backs to watch from below. Oh what joy! I’ve never been so happy in all my life. He he

We've also been using the "Ipad cinema" method for a while now using the same hanging by magnetic cover. For the true surround sound effect, put a small bluetooth speaker behind or in between your pillows. Perfect!

Love it! We do indeed use a little Bluetooth speaker, too. Isn’t life wonderful! Gilmore Girls on stereo surround

Love the iPad whilst we’re away, with ours we just slide the foldable cover into the roof, where the hatch slides back into so it hangs down. It’s attached to our little Bluetooth dongle so the sound comes out through the vans speakers. Full surround sound, like being at the movies.....

Through the van speakers?! Doesn’t it switch off after a while?

Yup through the van speakers, if I recall if the key isn’t in the ignition it turns off after an hour, no trauma clicking it back on though :thumb
Be careful doing this. Stereo runs of van starter battery & is likely to run it flat. That is why it switches off automatically.

+ 2 little TDK Trek Micro bluetooth speakers connected in stereo mode on both sides of the bed.
Beware: very dangerous position to fall asleep!
