LHD California

Does anybody know if it's possible to get a new LHD California in the UK?

I'm moving from Australia to Switzerland soon and I'm looking for the best way to get a new Cali!

Seems picking one up in the UK and driving (the long way round) would be a good way to start.

Or just buy one in Europe? Euro is getting a weak against the pound so could get more for your money - potentially.

Still seems to be enough of a difference in price to make the UK the best option. That and the UK VW people seem to be more familiar with the California.

Bought my Cali from them in 2006 (new). visited them about 12 to 18 months ago only to find no more "Deepcar Motors" They used to sell and buy LHD vehicles.

thats a shame i went there as well to get a lhd calie .when i had my t4 calie .have a friend works for vw holland .could ask him but they pay a lot of tax there .could ask a mate in uk for you to .

Any info/advice would be great.

I'll be exporting it from wherever I do buy it so the tax level doesn't matter so much.

Once I get it into Switzerland I'll need to pay whatever VAT they charge (around 12.5% I think).
