LHD Dash

Hi, can someone please satisfy my curiosity?
I've noticed in several pictures of the Cali LHD dash that the centre console part is completely different to that in the RHD versions. Just wondered why?

This is the Comfortline Dash supplied in LHD countries to differentiate between, the low/mid and high ranges.

Unfortunately they never did a RHD version of it.

It has a massive 2 litre bottle cooler housed in the central bulge!

...but the cooler ....? Where did you get that ?

I believe that the bottle holder cools like a glovebox cooler when the air conditioning is on... Is this not the case?

Why should i do that when there is a freezer in the back...
No serious , don't now that it cooles the bottle holder below , just the glovebox ,

I'm prepared to be wrong about this, but I think you may find it cools.

Obviously the LHD Highline dash is to be found in high spec Transporters and Caravelles which don't always have the luxury of a fridge.

Because VW don't care that much about the RHD drive market.

Does the RHD SE have a cooled glove box? Do you have to switch it on?
Would be useful for my chocolate bars.

In my LHD there is a switch you need to turn in the back of the glovebox.
Don't know on RHD , go and open your glovebox empty it and see if there is a switch in the back...

The UK market is too small to be worth doing much in the way of this stuff.

In the LHD versions there is a central 2l bottle holder, but it is not cooled.
