Not sure why VW always show the small table either outside or at the end of the kitchen unit. It works really well for me as a desk in the traditional position. Would also work very well for brews. For dinner it’s probably a one or two person max if you have the hob/sink open but perfectly usable.

That’s useful to know. A better pic would be appreciated too ;)

That’s good design! I guess you can also use it while in bed to watch Netflix..

I do the same but there isn’t a place to brace the leg (as there is on the end of the kitchen or on the back of the kitchen.
I always worry that I’m going to knock the leg.

There are some little areas in front of the sink to brace the leg, well that’s we do anyway!

There’s a product development idea for someone.
If someone could design a little bracket that could be stuck down on those little insets.

I’d be in for a slightly bigger table if a 3rd party did one, could use with laptop, iPad and drink, have seen one that goes onto the rails which looks quite good but wondered if any more out there, perhaps height adjustable?!? Kids may even use it whilst driving along if that’s legal and perhaps has a slight ridge at the edges like tables in boats have?!?

I’m sure someone will design something as there will be demand. The good thing about the T7 is there is easy access behind the rear seats to store a longe table.

Here’s what I do with mine, a bit of felt tape on the footer to stop any rubbing on the cupboard doors and you’ve got yourself a night stand for the bed

Thats neat. Fine if you're one up. I like the bike transport setup too. Did you have to remove both wheels?

Yep, just me 99% of the time. Both wheels off the mtb, can be done with front or rear left on depending which way you want the bike, but with both off you can get the bed down so that’s how I have it, plus don’t want dirty wheels in the front. Home made cradles for front and rear, very solid on the straps, plus dropper post makes excellent arm rear

Not sure if this helps but for a bigger table, you can use the standard one that comes in the rear. Unfold just two legs on one side and the rail clips on the other side, see photos, and slide the big table into the kitchen rail (just like the little table). A pretty sturdy arrangement - but don't know about legality when driving.

Just how it works in the T6/6.1 Beach camper. You may want to use the third leg if sitting in the passenger seat when rotated as the brackets are offset.

Oh yeah, you are right, I just tried it - the third leg works fine - even more stable. Thanks!

The large table just slots straight into the rails on the T7 Beach as it has the extra set of rails for the 3rd seat. It ends up being off centre mind - either to the right or left depending on which side you put it.

Oh yes, although as you say not central but also doesn’t leave much space if front seats in driving position, could do with something a bit smaller but not tiny.
