Low profile cigarette lighter plug - right angle ?

Hi,

Looking for a right angle low profile cigarette lighter plug to go into the socket behind the passenger seat. I would like one that doesnt dig into the passenger seat when thats all the way back, as it risks damaging the seat and the plug / socket. Ideallythe cable would come out at right angle and sit proud of the socket by 5mm or so.

My passenger likes the seat all the way back for comfort ! I want to feed power to head rest mounted DVD players so the socket under the bench seat is too far away

Have had a look on eBay and in the Maplin online shop but havent found anything

Any suggestions ?

We use something similar to this, it means you can push the seat back nearly all the way without damaging the cable of what you have plugged into the socket.

I think you may have difficulty finding something off the shelf to achieve this. I made up my own lead recently and all the plugs seem to be quite long. You could try the DIY route and set about an existing plug with a hacksaw!

I wonder if you found one. I had the same problem that the plug either ruined my seat or broke. Eventually I found one at an agricultural/tractor show. See this one:

Unfortunately it was in Denmark. But you must be able to find a similat one.

This is what i wanted. I had seen them on US sites, but either they won't ship to the UK on insist on FedEx or UPS at £50 a go.

If anybody can find one of these from a European supplier then please let me know
