Manual gearbox

My Cali is 6months old and the gearbox is very crunchy.....especially 1st 2nd 3rd going up the gears and down. 1st to 2nd is makes a crunching sound ....any body had problems ? Thought I would post before I contact VW
4th 5thh and 6th all ok

That doesn't sound very clever, I would get it booked into a VW dealer asap

My transporter is the same. Dealer has had 2 goes at it so far and not fixed it yet. They adjusted the cables and gate selector but it still crunches like yours. Will have one more visit before warranty runs out and ask for a bit more than a fiddle!

Thanks sponsor! I did mention to my dealer over Xmas when having new steering column. But he said it was ok. It has got worse so will call 1st thing tomorrow .

Sad to hear a few are having little issue's with the manual gearbox ,but with massive amounts of transporters i guess there has to be a percentage that have small issue's .......
i must admit mine is lush
