matt aluminium side rails?

Has anyone ever seen matt aluminium side rails.

Our Beach on order is deep black and I'm thinking that matt aluminium would match the bike rack and any aluminium roof bars.

Hi Simon... matt aluminium used to be the only option until around 2008. (So the are orderable as parts from VW... did this for a friends converted T5)

After that it was dependent upon the colour of the van ordered... eg. Grey vans got black ones, silver or white vans got silver one etc...

Not sure of current status or if on the new vans you can choose. (I'd suspect a more recent purchaser might know)

Thanks for the info. Maybe need to talk to spares not sales!

If you order now the choice is black or shiny stainless. Up to you which you go for.

Or rather brushed stainless rather than shiny stainless I guess.

No where near enough... We clearly need much more to grumble about.

Interestingly enough. Kind of surprised that there's not more of an issue with the aluminium rail. It's in close contact with the steel body... guess it's probably anodised which may make a difference.

Hopefully I've not spoken too soon...

Have to say though... The T4's mine... the T5 really belongs to my wife
