Missing electrics

Hi,

Just removed the small California light in the passenger foot well as it wasn't working. Assumed it needed new bulbs but when I got it out there's no electrics running to it???

Is it possible that they forgot to run electrics there when the van was made?

It's not the end of the world and I ve managed without the light up until now just interested to know whether you think vw would fix it? It's a 2008 model..

Try having a rummage around and see if you can find the cable.

You will probably be able to find the cables and connector deeper inside the chamber of the hole where the light is installed.

When you say there is no hole I'm not sure what you expect to see.

The cable will likely come down the wheel arch under the carpet and then under the step. It may be you need to pull up the end of the step.

I would have thought that the step light wiring was part of the loom so should really be
There like stu said it might be trapped under the step
