The attached film tells you more about what I'm up to and why, but to cut a long story short, as some of you know I am travelling through Africa to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, and ultimately to help find a cure. So far my Cali has been absolutely fine and the only problem I've had was the value of my rear diff but that was probably my fault anyway! I travel back out again in March, to join up with a vehicle which is in Freetown Sierra Leone and then just do a few things with it to make sure it's okay before setting off again. It's been well looked after and secure while I've been away, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed things won't be too bad when I get there. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the film. If I get another responses I Will steer readers towards a page where they can give to the Cure campaign or to help make the film.

After many attempts, I cannot get the film to load directly, so I'll send you a link.

Good luck to you my friend. A friend of ours has had Parkinson’s for about 25 years and the Parkinson’s charity has been the main charity we give to. Around 15 years ago I had promised Sue I would take her for a ride on my bike. I had a Suzuki Hayabusa and one nice day we arranged to go for a spin. After kitting her out in all the gear we set off. I wanted it to be something she remembered for ever and she absolutely loved it. I could feel her shaking when we stopped at some traffic lights but that was the Parkinsons and not fright. She still talks about it to this day. I told her how fast we went and a big smile came on her face.
Live life to the full and enjoy your trip.

Hi Guy D,

What a beautiful video and what a huge, and noble undertaking. And hopefully, a great (cali-)adventure. Would love to know how you get on, so I just followed your Instagram. Compliments to you or whomever made the video. It conveys your story and your goal very well. It made me want to contribute. So when you have a link to where I can make a donation, please share it.

Good luck to you.
