This has been slightly inefficient since new, not wiping as well as it might
Cleaned the Cali last weekend and gave both wipers the usual clean. Yesterday, during a drizzly drive home it started to squeak horribly, as if grit was being dragged across but it didn't happen all the time.-- noise stopped if I squirted washer fluid or was raining more. The blade looks fine--no waffly bits along the length, no grit or anything attached to it and it's not falling apart. The windscreen is also clean. I'm trying to avoid buying a new one. Any suggestions ??

I would replace sometimes they seem to have a very short life

Tend to agree for the sake of £16... recently replaced mine with Bosch Aeros.
