ok so 2024 ocean with the vw topper, the wife says its too firm, so we pop the mattress out the pop top on to it, now i think its perfectly fine and comfy like this, but she says no still too firm.

So thinking of putting a 50mm memory foam topper on or under the vw mattress and leaving the one in the pop top.

Has anyone else done this ? not sure i really want to splash out on a duvalay and tbh wasnt convinced it would be any better. So was thinking something more generic.

Any opinions ?

Hi, I have memory foam mattress that we have had a while but only used a few times. IM me if you are interested.

something like this

Do a search on the subject, there is a lot of threads on here covering it. The only way my wife stopped getting bad hips was with a 120mm outdoor revolution self inflating matress with a memory foam layer on top. We don't use the vw one now, it's in the loft.

We found it too firm also and have tried so many variations involving the comfort mattress and zonesleep and bespoke foam layers. For us it has to be two 55cm self inflating air mattresses with zonesleep on top. This subject is so personal I think you just need to try lots of different options until you get it just right, which I think we now have - at least until we get a puncture!
