Hi Colin,

I'll try my best to assist.

A DSG Gearbox oil change at our centre is typically £250 inc VAT.

With filter included I wouldn't be too sure, I would personally advise for you to call up a service department for pricing on this.

Can I ask if this is a new focus for your van centre?

You are the nearest VW commercial van centre to us and we haven’t yet had our new Ocean serviced as it’s not yet 1 year old (or followed up on warranty issues like the leaking bellows and a couple of minor issues). However, I didn’t have the impression that you specialised in Californias. When we were looking to order last July, I looked at your website and you weren’t selling any secondhand Californias (I see today that you have 3 for sale) and when I emailed you for an initial quote, I was just quoted the standard list price, with no follow-up, so my overall impression was that you were not really interested in selling these (we ordered through DTD instead).

If this is a new area of specialism then that would be good for us to have somewhere nearer to us with this expertise.

So, is there a chance to change options on California which has build week in a month? It's coming from Swindon. Broker told me no, but it's worth asking.

We were in the same boat as you 2 years ago. We were told that once the build is loaded into the factory system, then there’s no opportunity to alter spec. As you’ve got a build date advised, then I’m 99% certain it will be in the factory system.
