We have started planning our 25 night trip in France. We have travelled before but now have kids and I would feel better booking a few things. Our first main stop is the Ardeche, could anyone recommend some campsites on route? We only want to travel 4-5hrs a day and want to take the scenic route.

Also any places in France you would recommend visiting? Route we are thinking is Ardeche- Beziers - dordogne with some stops in -between.

Thanks in advance

Do you mean a stop in Ardeche region or a stop "on the way" to the Ardeche as the title says ....and on the way from where that is coming from the south , north....
Bit confusing...

Just to clarify we are travelling from Calais so a couple of stops on route to the Ardeche.

Thanks

A very nice place to stop is the small champagne house with campsite/gites where we organise a meet in september (banner on top of the page)

A few hours drive from Calais .

The ardeche region has plenty of campsites but depending on the time of the year they can get crouwded and indeed reservation is maybe needed at some popular sites.
We mostly use free aires .

About halfway between the channel and Ardeche: campsite at Stes. Geosmes, just south of Langres, has everything for an overnight break. Includes a restaurant, which was fully booked on the day, and a friterie on site.
