Hello there and a somewhat belated introduction to the VWCC forum after a few months of absorbing reading of your helpful posts. This followed what to many would be seen as a rather spontaneous purchase of our California Ocean following a brief visit to our local VW Commercial dealers on a snowy spring weekend in 2018 – (as it had been pre-ordered by the dealer we were able to collect the van almost immediately.)
This was perhaps not such a rash decision as we had previously owned a 1978 VW Type 2 Devon conversion pre children era .
Now our Children have all but flown the nest and retirement looms our impetuous move back to VW campervanning required little thought and We have enjoyed equipping our van over the past few months and already enjoyed several great trips with our dear old Golden Retriever mainly around our favourite haunts of Scotland.
Clearly venturing onto social media - or pat least this forum , has taken more courage , but here we go....
