Outdoor Mat

I’m looking for a mat to go just outside the sliding door, I haven’t got an awning so it’s just to give us something to step onto when getting in and out of the van when putting shoes on. I was thinking a rubber type but wondered what other people have.

We use a £15 rubber universal boot mat, its cut to fit the middle of the van & used on top of the carpet in winter & used outside as a doormat in summer.
Fits nicely in the gap between van & driveaway awning.

Theoutdoormattingcompany do some nice VW logo one which are long enough to span the side of the van. Plastic woven material double sided design, can easily be secured with Clingon grippers and pegs


Edit: I also carry a couple of oblong rubber door mats which sit inside all the time and can easily be deployed as required (couple of pounds each)

Cheap rubber mat from Wilko does the job , won't get nicked and I won't fret if we drive off and leave behind on the pitch.

We use an old car boot mat. Also great for changing out of wetsuits in gravel car parks!
