Overnight stay between Calais & Annecy

Planning an overnight stop between the euro tunnel and Lake Annecy in August - any recommendations please? Even if it isn’t a site but a handy B&B type venue…

We broke up our trip to Annecy from Calais with a stop here. Close to the main route, short walk into town with lots of places to eat etc. Just north of Troyes.

Thanks, this looks great - approx 3.5 hrs in with 4.5 hrs to complete the journey? Don’t suppose you stayed at La Ravoire in Annecey?!

There’s a small campsite we use at Val de Vesle when going that way.

Thanks, this looks great - approx 3.5 hrs in with 4.5 hrs to complete the journey? Don’t suppose you stayed at La Ravoire in Annecey?!

We did the first trip which was ok but poor pitch and we felt a bit out of it with no bikes.
Last time we stayed lakeside at Les Rives du Lac, Sevrier which was great but will probably be fully booked now.

Yes, we managed to get there from Lancashire via tunnel in one day. arrived in Annecy the following afternoon.

To break up the trip you could stop at Champagne Nowack who have a camping area as part of their business. Very friendly and welcoming.

Very friendly and welcoming.

Not from our experience, sadly very rude and unhelpful. I know lots of people have stayed there and enjoyed it which is why we wanted to try it but won't again.
