Paint on bumper peeling off

Whilst cleaning our van at the weekend I noticed some of the paint was peeling next to the licence plate, our van is only 6 months old but I am assuming if we take it to the dealer, VW will say it was caused by a stone chip?

Still worth trying. Paint came off my taiga handle & was replaced under warranty.
