Pickup up our new GC680 today. First discussed it at the end of September, put our order in beginning of October, so pretty much just over 5 months from firm order and deposit to collection.

I live in Bristol, went to see them and to be honest they just couldn't be bothered to even answer the phone, worse than useless, I told them too, they didn't get back to me . Was reading other posts on Facebook and found that VW Breeze in Poole, "kinda", specialise in them. Gave them a call and they hounded me, returned calls and emails.

They helped spec the old girl as well. I went for the 4x4 with diff lock (I like to ski) and also spec'd the additional diesel heater. I have not read the manual yet, but it looks like I can have Gas, (and/or) Electric, (and/or) Diesel, all whilst running the engine.

Everything I asked for was there, not a single mistake, nothing missing, nothing couldn't be done. I know its odd, but the Gods were on our side and VW in England and Germany (Poland) got everything spot on ;)

Currently got the diesel heater running at 30C, its like a sauna sat in the drive ..... you're going to laugh ..... I'm waiting for the wife to come home to turn it off, because, try as I may, I can't seem to turn it off. Damn hot though:thumb

I've looked under the seats and there are no batteries, the drivers has a blank space and the passenger has a fuse box and what looks like an inverter.

Drove home 100 miles through twists and turns and she handled quite well, bearing in mind that she was weighing in at 3 tonnes empty with 3 passengers.

Now begins the customisation process ......... :)

Congratulation skiboy, we have same van and colour. I agree it handles remarkably well for its size.
Hope your wife has success on the heating its all pretty simple on the control panel. Just shout if stuck.
