I am considering a trip to Poland via The Czech republic next week.

Has anyone done it recently?

If yes, anything I need to look out for, apart from missiles from Russia.

Thank you

Can't speak about Czech, as we didn't travel through....but we just got back from 4 weeks in The Baltics & Poland. Everything was completely normal....and we were very close to the border multiple times. We did see some police escorted military convoys on some of the Polish highways, but other than that you wouldn't know the difference. We traveled all through Poland- East, West, North, South- so let us know if you need any details.

Excellent, thank you.

I was wondering about any strange driving regulations.

No strange driving regulations. Poland also recently did away with Tolls....so the strangest thing you will likely encounter is going through tollbooths, but no toll- we Googled it several times, as we didn't want to get a surprise when we returned home (toll due or fine)

Depending on where you go you may encounter unpaved/gravel roads, very narrow roads that you think should be one way but aren't and watch where Google or Apple Maps take you- there may be an easier way (we learned this lesson the hard way)

Poland is tolerant of wild camping- we found some really great spots on Park4Night-our user name is the same, so you can see where we stayed and the reviews we left. Also, same username on Instagram, and you can look up more pictures and reviews as well. 2 sites in Poland made our top 5 list from the 4 week trip. They don't have very many CamperStops- most are located in the southwest corner (by Czech/German borders).

We went to Poland last year. Some toll roads, you can buy/pay in petrol stations nearby as most of the foreign credit cards don't work in the app. We enjoyed the south very much and especially Krakau is worth some days (you can read it in our blog).
Went to Chech Rep this summer. Very cheap except from Praque, but don't expect same level of comfort at most campsites as over here :) . Could give you some recommendations.
Oh, very important: you have to pay almost everywhere to park your car, mostly it's the same amount regardless duration of parking. Do pay, as they love to ground you with a wheel clamp!

Just back - we came home from Greece via Poland Krakow and east / west through Czech republic. All very great and no issues - Only issue was we didnt allow ourselves a great deal of time but had 2 x overnights in Krakow to visit the salt mine and Auschwitz and 1 x overnight in Prague - very interesting and beautiful cities - when we go back we will spend more time exploring the mountains on the polish / slovakia border and bohemia looked fun
