Pop-up roof support grommet?

Hello All,

We have just returned from the excellent site BackofBeyond near Ringwood and when I was drying off the pop up roof at home and removing leaves and debris in the runners. I noticed a rubber grommet, loose in the debris. Does anyone know where is should be located? I see a hole on each support which looks like it might be located in the holes -(maybe missing on both side).

Thats where mine are fitted, i put a bit of sikafex on the flange of the gromit before fitting, wipe any execess off, this has prevented mine from pulling out of the hole when it sticks to the bottom bar when the roof is close

I have 2 of these rubber gromits found either side when cleaning channel in the roof, must be a common issue will now put them back in. Thanks

Aside from VW and maybe the driveways of owners, would anyone happen to know where to find replacements?

I found both of mine loose in the channel below, soon after purchase new. I replaced them as per the #1 posting with some adhesive - plus I put a smear of silicone grease on the facing strut.

Ali express seems cheapest, you'll need to diameter of the hole it fits and do a search on Rubber bump stop
