Building a pull out kitchen in the back of the Beach and need to run power to the fridge without too much drop off.
I've already built my pull out drawers and sleeping platform but phase 2 is rebuilding the smaller left hand drawer to a proper pull out kitchen and the fridge needs power. Last summer I had the fridge in this drawer and had bought a 12v socket extension but the drop off was so bad that the fridge cut out when we stopped. I had to ditch the extension because that was clearly a bad idea but now when i'm building this I want to make sure i get decent power to the fridge. Considering tapping into the 12v socket on the left side (beside the 230v socket) but also considering the need of running all the way up to the leasure battery.
Or is there a better way? Is there a free space in the fusebox beside the leasure battery?
Interior panel removel advice also welcomed.

There is a 12v socket in mine, bottom rhs of your picture, near the back. Think it corresponds to the supply for the electric sliding door. LHD model here... if your narrow drawer and wide one were reversed....

All finished now.
I installed a new dedicated 12v socket for the fridge.
Gave the new kitchen a test drive for 3 days last weekend, all works well.

The 12v bottom rhs is blocked by my set up. I’ve now cut that connection and added a usb with volt meter higher up above my sleeping platform so it’s useable again

Nice handy work.

So this is for a Beach without rear Bench ?
2additional mid row single seats fitted?
Bed find out Ply deck ? (Additional mid row seats folded forward )

Does the left hand side top section un clip ? (Next to cooker)

To help others ;
Can you share the dimensioned drawings and part numbers / suppliers of the components etc so others can copy and construct ?

Which fuse location did you use presumably under passenger seat ?
Piggy back fuse holder ?
15a fuse ?

Originally a 7 seater Beach, I have chosen to remove the 3-seat bench and keep the 2 single captain chairs in the back which the kids love.
The frame and drawers I have deisgned and built myself.
Frame 15mm Ply
Drawers 12mm Ply
Sleeping platform 18mm Pine
Total outside dimension of the frame is 1200x1200mm (545mm high)
The height is designed so that when the sleeping platform is unfolded it rests flat on the forward folded captain chairs.

The main Drawer slides are 1118mm full extension lock-in / lock-out and rated to 225kg.

The left hand top section you mention is also on a drawer slide (500mm) so slides over to hide the cooker and acts as an extra work surface. When the main drawer is closed this small top section can be slid out as a small table or work surface.

In the drawer I have a compressor fridge (Alpikool 30L) the power cable for a moving fridge can be a problem so i sourced a cable chain or drag chain as they are known which then feeds the power cable neatly in and out alongside the drawer so it never gets pinched or caught.

10L water in the middle.

Power,
I installed my own 12v socket closer to this fridge location. I positioned it above the rear double cup holder under the C pillar.
Fused with one of these (15A) directly to the leisure battery +

4mm2 cable then runs to the rear socket with no notable power drop off.
Earth is taken from the rear left light cluster you will find a screw with about 4 other earth cables attached already.

Left hand kitchen drawer is 410mm wide
Right hand luggage drawer is 670mm wide and has a volume of 389 litres to the underside of the sleeping platform.

Any more questions, just ask.
