Price check on Extended Warranty in Germany-still a value proposition?

So after seeing an extended warranty on a GC costs just over 300 quid for an additional 2 years cover in the UK, I checked the VW Germany calculator and input my details. 2 months since first registration, 750km on the odometer. Extended the warranty an additional 3 years beyond the standard 2 year cover with a 10K km per year mileage allowance the cost is 2,011 Euro. How many would still take the deal?

The mileage allowance seems pretty unrealistic, expecting less than 50K km after 5 years. Increasing the allowance to 11k km bumps the cost of the warranty to a massive 3230 Euro. What a ripoff.
