Problem with rear shelf suspension arm

I've somehow broken/detached the suspension arm fixing end that holds up the rear shelf for easier loading (i.e, the fixing at the shelf end).

I wondered whether anyone can provide a photo for how it should attach at the shelf end? or can describe it for me, as I can't work out how it attaches or what has broken.
