Where have you people fitted these in the 680? I presume they do not come fitted to a new 680?

The average atomic mass of dry air is about 29. The atomic mass of propane is 44 and of butane (also found in LPG - small amount) is 58. So these are heavier than air and will sink. On this basis I would site a LPG detector low down as close to the appliance (cooker) as possible.
