Rear Air Conditioning

On a my23 Ocean, does the rear air conditioning run independently to the front. I have been pressing the button in the front to turn the rear on, if we have the dogs in the back. I notice it lights up for a few minutes then goes off. Is this normal?

If you're pressing 'rear' to switch on the rear you need to review the system operation.

In plain English: use the 'sync' mode to copy the driver's settings to all three zones. Use the 'rear' mode to adjust the rear zone temperature or fan setting from the front.

Ok, got it.
You press rear and it temporarily controls setting for the rear. Then the light goes out and its back to front settings.
