Soooooo, yeah. Fitted the missing rear anti roll bar today. The van was deffo a tad woolly and definitely not as good as it could be..

I found the obsolete bar on Gbay

So as per official VW manual I went for the 26mm.
First job was to install the Rivnuts in the trailing arms and chassis rail.
Trailing arms are already drilled. Cross member holes need enlarging to 9mm

Slight exhaust clash but that was easily sorted.

The drive is now much improved, night and day improvement. Hard to believe it was never spec’d from new.

Beer time.

Great work, this is next on my to do list. Definately madness not fitting one from the factory.

Cool. Just for ref, trailing arm rivnuts are M8 , crossmember bracket ones are M6. Use steel not ally.

Nice job, a big improvement I’d say.

Can I ask if the bushes for the rear anti roll bar are the same for the outer and inner bush? Also are they split for fitting them or do the slide on to the bar?
