Rear of seat storage nets

I have been thinking about fitting an elasticated net over the indented spaces at the rear of the driver and passenger seats to create 2 x useful cubby holes. I wonder if anyone has done this. The Maxxcamp people have invented a twin bungee solution but a net would be more useful. problem is i cant find an off the peg solution with correct dimensions. apparently the chinese will knock them up but the min order is 50 units, working out around £ 15 for a pair or less. I was thinking if they were a popular option maybe one of our approved suppliers might be interested in taking a punt - id happilly pay £20 plus for a pair ..... thoughts ?

Never thought on that , just need to find the right size nets.
Think in my LR Defender there where those exact the same of that on the inside of the rear door.

Once in place this can be very handy!

On the rh seat we pull off that panel and use the space for extra storage, bottled water, wine , cereals etc.

Me also , for stuff not that ofthen needed .
Medical kit , fluo vests , ....
Beware with liquids , i putted some cans 7-up in there and one rubbed in to something sharp causing a leak ....7-up all over things

I would be interested in acquiring storage nets - making use of any potential space in a Cali has got to be a good idea. Maybe you could include the indented space on the back of the sliding rear bench (a set of three nets). Obviously this would also need a fastening solution to the top edge eg- velcro / self-adhesive magnetic strip - to prevent items from falling out when in the folded down (bed) position. Good luck with the idea!

Note @Maje and any others interested, these ones are actually too deep for the space, but work fine if you have a fitted carpet (Brandrup or similar) the excess sticks to the floor on velcro and is hidden beneath the carpet edge. You need to buy HD velcro and stick the ‘furry’ side to the rear of the seat to fix.

Ah - good info - thanks GrahamB. Have fitted carpet but might consider something smaller but avoiding drilling.
