The system has a fan that takes in cabin air through the boot vents on that side and heats it via the heat exchanger that is connected to the engine cooling system.
If you have the 3 zone Climatronic system then there is also an aircon heat exchanger that cools and dries that air first then it will be heated to the desired temperature by the coolant powered heat exchanger. This air comes out of the roof top vents in the rear and the floor vent by the cupholder next to sliding door.
