Recommended sites close to Brockenhurst 27th Feb - 4th Mar 2016

Can anyone recommend a good site close to Brockenhurst for a weeks winter camping?

There are some camping in the forest sites near there including one (Hollands Wood) just on the edge of Brockenhurst. Don't think they open until late March though and some only accept units with their own loos. I have stayed at the Red Shoot Inn campsite which is nice, might be a bit far away? Even they don't officially open until 1st March. Possibly some of the 'holiday park' sites will be open sooner if you don't mind being around statics. There is a park at Hoburne Bashley quite close to Brockenhurst.
Closest site I have heard of that is open all year is Hurst View http://www.hurstviewleisure.co.uk/open-camp.htm .Never been there myself but it gets good reviews and hosts some vDub events I think. I seem to recall there was an unofficial club meet there a year or so back but the details disappeared for reasons unknown.

Nice quiet campsite , wierd waking up and horses standing next to the Cali

Lytton Lawn is open then I believe. Nice quiet site with hardstandings. Although it's a few years since we stayed so might be different. Not far from Brockenhurst though.
