Hello,
I worked with Mark from Retro Racks to create a rack for the VW California, these are an old-school design wing rack finished with an ASH wood base. (wood is removable) rack itself is powder coated.
The Cali roof can take 100KG when closed, 50KG when opened, the rack is about 25KG, (personally I would never open it with anything on the rack)
It has 4x holders that slide into the rails on the roof then the rack bolts to them and is secured down.
Perfect for Ski's / Boards or small luggage and looks great.
Fit wise as this was a prototype I would day its 92% perfect and has been excellent in over 20k miles. (if you are an egineer I can't say its 100% perfect)
All yours for next to nothing price of £275, pick up only as it is not postable from KT postcode area.
