Road trip to Auxerre

Hey we're planning a trip to Auxerre in France and have a 7 month old so want to stop about half way for a night each way. Does anyone have any recommendations for campsites along the way and around Auxerre (ideally close to some vineyards) as we plan to replenish our wine supply whilst we're there

You can spent the night near the river in Auxerre walking accros the bridge in to town.
Just a free aire no services , but nice to go in town , did it twice few years ago.

That region has a lot of free aires .
Campsites probally also .

I remember Auxerre from a holiday in the 80's. We spent about 2 hrs trying to drive past it but kept missing the exits and it all ended up with a dark silence in the front of the car after the map had been thrown on the floor followed by "well if you're not going to listen then I'm not navigating"
Never been near the place since....
