Roof ‘groans’

Hi

I have a 2012 SE and when the roof comes down the right hand side ‘groans’. Also noticed today on way back from camper jam that the little campervan roof up symbol on central display unit was flashing. Looked up and it said roof motor over heating. I’ve put wd40 on all the moving parts but still happening. Anyone else had this problem? Ideas to fix really helpful

Hi @Julie and Archie , the first thing I would do it take out the fuse - to ensure that the motor does not keep on running. That will give you time to check and rectify any issues.

The fuse is under the passenger seat - it is a 30 amp fuse (see attached PDF).

Usually the problem is with the roof sensors that does not inform the camper control unit that it is closed.

Do a search on here on roof closing issues and that should help guide.

Thanks. I’ve put wd40 on all moving parts and groaning stopped and no flashing symbol. I’m away this weekend so can test if worked and will keep your advice re fuse in case I need it
