Roof bars

Hi,
Have been searching through previous posts about Roof Bars (to then attach bike racks or top box too). Seems there is a Thule vs VW option. In the current VW price list I can't find a roof bar option. Also the Thule parts (looks like 3 different elements) aren't all available so may have changed.
Has anyone bought them recently and have the details please?

The genuine VW ones look daft as they are so high, best ones are the low profile Thule, forum shop sells them and looks like they now have them in black https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/shop/product-category/roof-bars

I've got the Thule aero bars from the forum shop for my Ocean. Very happy with them for carrying my roof box. They're easy to attach, safe, secure, quiet and look good .

You need the following (black or silver):

2 x Thule Wing Bar 969 - 127 cm wide
4 x Thule Rapid System 753 (lower than the recommended 751)
4 x Thule Kit 3057 Fixpoint XT

Some may come as a set of 2 or 4.

It is the best solution IMO. We had the VW (logo) and they are so tall, that it looks odd. The recommended Thule 751 is almost as tall. But the 753 feet are lower, for an unknown reason not recommended by Thules online configurator, but fits very nicely. And used by many in here. Plug and play solution.

I think Aerobar is not produced anymore. The closest is the new Wingbar. (Not to mistake with New Wine Bar as my autocorrect embraces … )
