Scotland Midge alert on BBC today

Heading back from a week on Mull. Not many midges but plenty of Californias.

We noticed that, good number around

I’m currently doing my NC500 - there were a few midges around L Lomond on Tues 20th evening only but none at all at Fort William, Applecross or today at Alchmelvich Bay (mind you, it’s currently blowing and raining!!).

its maybe the grounds still dry and the next waves not come yet, just been loading the.van, no wind. 2200 and no midge. Expected to be ambushed!!
