Seat Bench Latching/Sticking...

Been looking on german sites and T4 forum but cant find a similar problem described...

When I lift the bench up to deposit or retrieve items from the storage underneath, quite often it gets stuck and wont close, I have to commence the bed fold-out then fold it all back down again... really annoying!!

Are there any parts that wear or bend that could be replaced/fettled?

I have had this prob occasionally (2001 T4Generation). It seemed that the seat was not folding back properly. However, my solution was to push the folded top /base back firmly at the point where the two meet and then it seated fine. Hope this helps.

Yeah I tried pushing and prodding in various places. Interestingly it never happens when converting from bed to seat (so bench in middle rail position), only when I lift the bench in the rear position to put something in there.
