Mine arrived this morning and fitted in ten mins, great quality and very smooth runners.
And still got room down the side for long stuff.

I agree with you @soulstyledevon it looks well made but we have a full width one and no issues pushing items that are long over the top of it into the middle of the van

My thermal wrap fits nicely down the side bit as its too wide to go cross ways, not everyones ideal but does it for me.

I like these but also think it should be full width. Maybe a market for another size club shop? Long things like skis could just go over the top of it

It’s that useful.
I think Volkswagen should be taking note and offering this as a standard fitment/option.
All of our clothing was stored here for a 3 week trip around Europe last year.
It means all the other cupboards in the van are free for other stuff.
We no longer struggle for space, we have plenty with this setup.

Where did you the get the bits or material ? Would love a brief description of how you went about it. Plus where did you source the various containers - those on the draw and to the left of it? Absolutely lovely job

But slides from GSF, aluminium angle from one of the online suppliers and rail bolts from eBay.

Is it possible to just get the runners and build your own shelf of whichever width you want? You could then have both full width and part width in the garage and mix and match depending on the use for that trip...... Just a thought

I made my own drawer with 12 & 18mm ply and extended drawer runner, which works really well, keeping a space at the side for longer stuff.

What draw runners did you get and how/have you attached them to the van? Any details my much appreciated.

Hi, I made a wooden bracket which I bolted to the floor rails using the tee shaped floor anchors (which allows the whole thing to be easily removed) and then attached 600mm soft close drawer slides, which were only about £20 per pair, sorry not very detailed....if I have a photo I will post.
