Sink tank repair

Hi all,
I have been able to find information about fitting the sink tap handle back together. I need to dismantle the tap to repair the electrical switch. The pump operation started to become erratic and now it has stopped. I shorted the wires going to the tap switch and the pump started. So as an electrician I believe the problem is with the switch in the handle. Can anyone help? How do you dismantle the tap without damaging it. It is out of warranty and the NZ Agent looks to stay well clear of anything for the Cali that isn't in the t5.

Not sure it comes apart, but not expensive and was used on the westy t4 as well. It's available from reimo too or get sent from the uk. It is pretty light.

The micro switch is in the side... It just prises off.

Fixed mine this way.

Easier to sort if you take the tap off. It's all a little fiddly.

I've also it a spare from when it was replaced under warranty.

Does the tap just push on? Mine looks a little loose.

yes it does but it takes quite a lot of pressure (well mine did) so I removed it and and did it on the bench rather than bending the sink unit.
