Hello all,

We are due to pick up our 2013 T5.1 Cali 140bhp.

It has done 93k with a full VW dealership service history.

Has had the timing belt changed & had lowering springs fitted.

Any advice prior to picking up this Saturday (16th March) would be great full.

Thanks,

Tania & Andy

Hi and welcome
try the bed for comfort before you go away in it
you may find you need to get something to make it comfortable enough for you.
:)

....and become a VIP member on here to give you full access, and the ability to message people etc (eg for sale ads etc) and to be able to download some of the key info held on the website. £15 well worth it for 12 months... :)

Which would also allow you to see a document that sums up what attributes/assecories/etc should come with a new Cali. Even though yours will be second hand, you can check to see nothingis missing.

Timing belt changes were every 4 years but now VW UK have fallen in line with the rest of Europe with a longer life span.

Do you know when the belt was last replaced as in theory 2017 then 2021?

Don't buy too much stuff initially.

I thought I knew better, ignored the sage advice on this forum and ended up with a lot of stuff I don't use.

Saying that, sometimes you need to buy and use something to realise you don;t need it. Sounds weird but makes sense!

Also, become a VIP member which gives you VIP discount at the Cali shop, which has saved me a lot of cash in the last few months.

Check that leisure batteries are holding a decent charge for several days.....
Control panel fully functioning.
Does the heater (not the cab heater) fire up and work O.K.?
Raise and lower roof several times.
Fridge start O.K.?
Roller blinds lower and retract properly.?
Do the sliding tambour doors (wardrobe and cupboard) slide and close?
