spare wheel size fit

Hello,
im sure there is some thread about, but anyway, does spare tyre 235/55R17 fits in the spare wheel carrier?
or it hat to be 205?

I have a 2016 Ocean 4motion and am using a 17” steel spare with 235/55R17 all season tyre - fits fine

The 17" wheel fits OK but I did notice on a T6 courtesy van with 205 tyres that there wasn't a spacer on each of the rear bracket attachment bolts.

Not sure if there is different mounting points at the front to lower the carrier in order to compensate for the wider tyre.

If you need a photo to compare what my 235 55 17 tyre has just ask.
