It also let people in the back hear you speak - thru the speakers back there, without you having to raise your voice. It is not standard though. I guess all T6 have the mic in the car.

Only if you have the Digital Voice Enhancement feature. But it is a mic.

Seems a bit pointless or is there a mic in the back that feeds to the front speakers?

We haven't got one but in any event it's only the dog who travels in the back, his conversation skills are pretty limited and he never listens to what we say anyway.....

Also used for Voice Control of the RNS510 in the SE. Works very well for Radio,Media and Navigation.
