I just stumbled across this machine in Bristol. Clean water for 3.5p/l

This could be handy when the putt side taps I normally use freeze.

In our Tesco one can get 2L of drinking water for £0.17.

They are aimed at window cleaners with pole systems, the unit is connected to normal mains water then filtered I presume so when used in window cleaning the water does not leave streaks or marks.

It can’t be worse the garage forecourt taps I sometimes use. I don’t think this would put me off as I only wash in it or bo it for coffee.
It might be. When I kept tropical fish I had a reverse osmosis unit, which I suspect is how this water is demineralised / purified, and it came with a lot of warnings about not using for drinking water.
The water will also have been in the tank for some time with no chlorine etc to keep it free of bacteria.
The garage forecourt tap is at least likely to be direct from the mains so intended for drinking in the first pace and not sat stagnant in a tank.
