well folks, we bought the lovely Bessie in September and have started initial mini adventures with her. First night testing everything out in the drive at home - well you’ve got to start somewhere. Next was a night on a CL site in Malpas and all went well so we progressed to 2 very wet nights in Garstang which showed us what condensation in a Cali is really all about! 2 adults and a big dog!!

After these “successful” outings we ventured further afield to Dumfries and Galloway; Galloway Forest off grid, Sandhead off grid, south Spittall CL site then Grey Mare’s Tail off Grid at the end of October.

Since then we have been up to Tan Hill Inn for 2 very wet ans windy nights but no probs as food and beer there very good and very welcoming for camper vans.

That’s it so far folks, we are looking forward to further adventures in 2019

We’ve a 2008 Cali, had it from new, done 135k miles now, with probably 100k miles purely on holidays, from the far west coast of Scotland to the Ukraine, keeping yourself organised in the van is the key
You’ll love it!!

Lovely to hear from you, have wonderful adventures!
You know what, this will sound awful, but so nice to hear from a newbie with a lovely secondhand van rather than fully optioned fresh off the production line!
Not everyone can stretch to a brand new Cali, even our two year old SE cost us a King's ransom two years ago!

@Brian & Kath

What a lovely set of pictures!

Freddie looks well happy with Bessie :D

A 2013 Cali is a great buy. I had one for four years. Never missed a beat and as far as I know still isn't. Will be going for years and years with everything working well.

Great times. Enjoy. Welcome to the forum and you will find us a really helpful bunch here to answer any questions that you might have.
