Brannsjef Nils-Erik Haagenrud anslår at mellom 200 og 300 biler har gått med i storbrannen i parkeringshuset ved Stavanger lufthavn. Deler av p-huset har kollapset. Politiet sier at brannen trolig har startet i en eldre dieselbil.

I’m not sure the link will work. Aerial footage of a fire at Sola airport last night. Hundreds of cars destroyed. Multi storey car park collapsed. There was no sprinkler system in this extension to the car park as it was deemed low risk...
Apparently caused by a 2005 Opel Safira diesel.

I believe there are 1300 cars which are likely to be classed as destroyed.
This is a relatively small airport in a relatively small town in a country with exceptionally high safety factors.

Bet he wished he’d followed up on the recall for Zafiras catching fire! I hope nobody was hurt. Sounds like that fire in Liverpool arena car park.
