Steering Rack LHD correct replacement part Help

My 2008 LHD California has been off the road now for 8 weeks with steering rack failure. My garage is being difficult about the repair because it's LHD and tricky for them - It's a story and I'll spare you detail. I need to buy the correct steering rack for them to swap out on the day. The VIN is WV2ZZZ7HZ7H014663 and after I asked them to get the part number off the van they gave me the attached picture from a mirror, which only gives me the first 4 numbers of the part 7853 and maybe 9? I've been all over Autodoc and B.Parts but there are too many variations of this rack to be sure. Can anyone help me ID the correct rack? Many Thanks

I put your VIN into https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs and it came up with 7E1422061P or 7E1422061PX. If you put these OE numbers into Autodoc the difference is the overall length so you will have to get your rack measured. Please don't take these part numbers as gospel as I only put your VIN into LLLparts.

Part number 7E1 422 061 Px was dropped in 2019 new number 7E1 422 061 RX the part number 7E1 422 061P was also dropped in 2019 new part number 7E1 422 061 R. It looks like you can order from vw a re manufactured one with part number ending PX both these are listed for your vehicle going from your vin best see what you have fitted I do hope you have deep pockets

Thanks for the help. Yes, this is going to hurt £££ - I guess I’ll try find another garage which can remove the existing rack and have the van parked up on-site whilst it's refurbished and put back on? Or the VW dealership £££.
It's upsetting as the van has been a £20k ornament these last couple of months . Thanks again
