So I noticed today when driving on the motorway the steering wheel isn't straight. And I dont mean by a small amount, but quite alot! It's like a 10 past o'clock level of wonky. Wtf?

What could have suddenly cause this. I haven't had any knocks or heavy curb drop etc. Just happened to notice it.

Any ideas?

Check tyre pressures on Near Side in particular.
The Tyre Pressure monitor is not that sensitive whereas a 2 or 3 psi pressure change could produce your problem.

Tyre pressures fine all round. No issues.

This particular issue is really messing with me - stressing me out - my OCD off the scale with a wonky bloody steering wheel!!!! arrrrggghh!!

Ok. Some more things.
Empty water tanks and no passenger does it make a difference ?
No. Swap front wheels from side to side and see if it makes a difference.

Also check your steering rack etc is solidly bolt etc Finally check your rear wheel alignment and toe looks right and hasnt shifted

There was a similar thread on here a few weeks ago regarding none centred steering wheels.

Don't have a water tank. No passengers. Still the same

So last week I had the new clutch and flywheel fitted - could this have effected the steering - or is it a completely different area of the engine?

Jeeze now you mention it. Yes they will have disconnected your steering/struts. Needs a a geo

Apologies. It needs the geometry resetting. Toe /camber etc. Im not familiar with what has been disconnected to fit the clutch on a T5 but it maybe the steering column was disconnected and refitted one or two splines out . Also the angle sensor behind the steering wheel may need recalibration which requires a computer and something like VCDS.
Job for the dealer or a specialist with alignment gear.
It will be as a result of the clutch job.

Going down to the garage at lunchtime today - will update
